Target Audience

1.  Parents 
2. Family 
3. Society 

Parents: 

• Some of the parents can’t accept that their children have autism and they feel ashamed of them. 
• Some parents might even abandon them or send them away. 
• Some of the parents accept that their children have autism but after some time, they will breakdown and give up. 
• Some parents don’t know how to take care of their autistic child properly. 

Example: A Bronx mom is suspected of shooting her 12 year old autistic son, and then committing suicide. The mother, Michaela Jackson allegedly snapped and killed herself and her son, Kenneth Holmes. 

Family:

• Some family members feel ashamed that their sibling is autism and they won’t admit that he or she is one of their family member. 
• Some family might have accept that their sibling is autism but after they being laugh at, bully and look down by other people just because they have a sibling that is autism, they will not want to admit that they have a sibling that is autism.

Example: Laura is the mother of three children, boys, and the oldest (Matthew) is autistic. In the chapter I just finished, she writes about driving some children on a field trip for her second born , Andy. During the drive, she hears whispering and snickering from the back. She looks in the mirror and sees her son with tears in his eyes. She asks what is going on, and one of the kids says, “Andy’s brother is a retard!” 

Society:

• Some people will look at the autism people weirdly, some might try to even stay a distance with them, some might even walk away from them. 
• Some people might just bully them just to entertain themselves. 

Example: 20 year old nonverbal, autistic man was left in a van for 5 hours. He was left in the van by caregivers. Two caregivers were in the van and three other residents. The other three were taken out of the van, yet this poor soul wasn’t.

Autism

After much thoughts, I decide to do about Autism. I've watch some videos of autism awareness video and I was really inspired to do about autism.

Chosen Topic: Autism

Message: Let the people know about acceptance and understanding of their family,peers or other people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
